The Port of Grays Harbor Commission

The Port of Grays Harbor is a county-wide port district.  Each commissioner must live in a specific district within Grays Harbor County, while all are elected on a countywide basis. Port commissioners serve six-year terms. 

The Port of Grays Harbor Commissioners set policy, adopt annual budgets, set tariff rates, approve expenditures of the Port, and appoint the Executive Director and Port Attorney. The Commission meets once a month to conduct Port business. For more information on Commission Meetings, see below.

Stan Pinnick – District 3

Stan Pinnick was elected to the Port Commission in November 2003. Stan is a life-long Hoquiam resident and comes from a 35-year career in public education and administration. He brings to the Commission a background in finance, community, and policy development. Commissioner Pinnick provides focused leadership for the Port’s industrial and economic development efforts, and recognizes the importance of the success of current businesses in our region and their opportunities to expand.

Tom Quigg was appointed to the Port Commission in December 2018.  Commissioner Quigg brings a solid background in both marine construction and commercial and industrial real estate.  Also a life-long Harborite, Mr. Quigg also has an extensive history of involvement throughout the Grays Harbor community and was a founding member of the Grays Harbor Shipping Club.

Phil Papac was appointed to the Port Commission in August 2018.  A life-long resident of Grays Harbor and a successful local business owner, Commissioner Papac brings an extensive history of involvement and commitment in the community.

Commission Meeting Info

The Port of Grays Harbor Commission meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 9am at the Port’s main office located at 111 S. Wooding Street in Aberdeen.

Any meeting of the Board of Commissioners held outside of the regularly scheduled monthly meeting is considered a special meeting and notice will be posted a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

All regular and special Commission meetings are open to the public. Commission agendas for regular meetings include opportunities for public comment.
